The short version
- Everything here is information only — not advice, and not an endorsement.
- It comes from public sources, providers themselves and AI-generated content, and a lot of it may be wrong or out of date.
- You use the site at your own risk. Verify everything directly with the provider.
- We are not part of any deal between you and a provider, even if we introduced you. You and the provider are responsible for everything between you.
- We may earn referral fees and sell advertising and placements; paid content is labelled.
1. Information only
PaymentsDatabase (the “site”) is a free directory operated by MEGHR LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (“we”, “us”). It is provided for general information only.
Nothing on the site is financial, legal, regulatory, tax or any other professional advice, and nothing is a recommendation or endorsement of any payment provider, payment method, bank or service. Do not rely on the site as the basis for any decision.
2. Where our information comes from
Listings, profiles, country pages, statistics and other content are compiled from: publicly available sources (such as provider websites, public registers and press coverage); information supplied by payment providers themselves; and content that is generated, summarised or translated with artificial intelligence (AI) tools.
We do not independently check or verify all of this information. Providers that submit or manage their listing are responsible for the information they give us. AI-generated content can contain mistakes, including details that sound plausible but are wrong.
3. A lot of this may be wrong or out of date
Payment providers change their fees, supported countries, payment methods, currencies, licences, onboarding requirements and risk appetite frequently. Any of the information on the site may be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date or simply wrong, and counts, rankings and statistics are approximate.
We make no representation or warranty, express or implied, that any content is accurate, complete, current or fit for any purpose. Always confirm everything directly with the provider — and take your own independent advice — before you apply, sign anything or move any money.
4. You use the site at your own risk
You are solely responsible for your own research, due diligence and decisions, including whether a provider is suitable, properly licensed and able to serve your business, industry and countries.
5. Dealings between merchants and providers
We are not a payment provider, bank, broker, agent or adviser, and we are not a party to any conversation, application, contract, agreement or transaction between you and any provider — including providers we introduce you to through a “Connect” request, a referral, an advertisement or a link.
Any relationship you enter into with a provider is solely between you and that provider. The provider is responsible for its services, pricing, onboarding and approval decisions, handling of funds, reserves, chargebacks, account holds or closures and its own regulatory compliance. You are responsible for your side of the relationship. We do not guarantee that any provider will respond to you, accept you or perform as described, and we are not responsible for anything a provider does or fails to do.
6. Referrals, commissions and advertising
We may, or may not, refer or introduce merchants to providers. We may receive a referral fee, commission or other payment from a provider when we do, and providers may pay for listings, featured placements or advertising on the site. Advertising space is also sold through third parties such as Google.
Paid placements and adverts are labelled (for example “Sponsored” or “Advertisement”). Being listed, featured, advertised or referred is not an endorsement, and it does not mean the information about that provider is more accurate than any other. Using the site is free for merchants.
7. Third-party websites and adverts
Links to provider websites and adverts shown on the site are third-party content outside our control. We are not responsible for their content, products, services, availability or privacy practices.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MEGHR LTD, its directors, employees and contributors accept no liability for any loss or damage of any kind — whether direct, indirect or consequential, and including loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity, funds, data or goodwill — arising from or in connection with your use of, or reliance on, the site or its content, or any dealings between you and any provider, whether we referred you or not.
Nothing in this disclaimer excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of England and Wales, such as liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
9. Corrections
If you spot something that is wrong, please tell us at [email protected] or use “Suggest a correction” on the listing. We will review it, but we do not promise to make any particular change or to do so within any particular time.
10. Changes and governing law
We may update this disclaimer at any time; the version on this page applies from the date shown. By using the site you accept the version in force at the time. This disclaimer is governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
