PaymentsDatabase is operated by MEGHR LTD. These terms cover the directory, the professional network, tenders and credits. By using the site you accept them.
The short version
We are a listing platform. We publish information about payment providers, methods and countries, and we let people and companies find each other. We are not a party to anything you agree with another user, we hold no money, and apart from the specific checks we name and date on a profile we do not verify what anyone tells us. Decide for yourself who you are dealing with before you commit to anything.
1. The service
Version 1.0 · effective 2 October 2026
PaymentsDatabase is a directory and a professional network for payments, banking and finance. It publishes listings of payment providers and payment methods, country and method reference material, profiles of people who work in the industry, posts, tenders and messages between users.
We provide the place where this happens. We do not provide payment services, we do not arrange or broker any agreement on your behalf, we are not an escrow or a stakeholder, and we never hold funds belonging to you or anyone you deal with here.
2. What we check, and what we do not
Almost everything on this site comes from someone else: providers, merchants, professionals, public sources and automated research. We do not verify it.
The only exceptions are the specific checks shown as badges, each of which states what was checked and the date it was checked. A badge means that one thing was true, as far as we could tell, on that date. It is a statement of what we did. It is not a recommendation, an endorsement, a guarantee of the company’s conduct, or any assurance about their financial standing, licensing, solvency or suitability for you.
Checks can be wrong, can be out of date, and can be defeated by someone determined to deceive us. You remain responsible for your own due diligence on anyone you deal with, including confirming their identity, licences and regulatory permissions directly with the relevant register or regulator.
Nothing on this site is legal, regulatory, financial or tax advice.
3. Content and listings
Listings are compiled from public sources, information supplied by providers and automatically generated content. They may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. Fees, coverage, licences and settlement times change constantly and are frequently negotiated per merchant; treat anything here as a starting point to verify, never as a quote.
You keep ownership of what you post. By posting it you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute it on the site and in search results for as long as it is published, and you confirm you have the right to post it.
We may edit, refuse, suspend or remove any listing, profile, tender, post or message, and we may suspend or close an account, at our discretion — in particular where we think something is false, misleading, unlawful, or posted to gather information under a false identity. If you believe something about you or your company is wrong, tell us and we will look at it.
4. How we make money, and what that means
We earn money from paid listings and placements, advertising, credits, and referral or introduction fees paid by providers. Paid placements are labelled. Commercial arrangements never change a fit score, a search ranking filter or the facts shown on a listing.
Where we are paid an introduction fee, it is invoiced by us to the provider as our own fee. We do not take a share of, sit in, or have any claim over money that moves between you and anybody you meet here.
5. Tender terms
Version 1.0 · effective 2 October 2026
A tender is a request published by a verified account. Applying to one, or publishing one, means you accept this section.
A tender is a request for proposals and nothing more. It is not an offer, it creates no obligation on anyone to award anything, and a merchant may close, withdraw or ignore a tender at any time.
Anything written in a tender is the poster’s own statement. We do not check volumes, requirements, timelines or budgets, and the badges on a poster mean only what section 2 says they mean.
A tender may be published without the poster’s name. Every account behind a tender is known to us and has completed the identity checks required for that way of posting. Masked does not mean unknown to us, and we will disclose an account’s identity where the law requires it.
Material shared in a tender is confidential to the people it is shared with. Do not republish it, resell it, or pass it to anyone else. Copies are individually marked, so a leak can be traced to the account that received it.
Do not use tenders, or applications to them, to gather competitors’ pricing or customer information. Accounts doing so are closed and any deposit is forfeit.
Any agreement that follows is between the merchant and the provider. We are not a party to it, we do not guarantee performance by either side, and disputes are between you.
6. Professional terms
Version 1.0 · effective 2 October 2026
Creating a professional profile means you accept this section.
Your profile must describe you truthfully, and must be about you. Do not create a profile for someone else, or claim roles, employers, qualifications or coverage you do not have.
A confirmed employer badge means you held a working email address on that company’s own domain on the date shown. We re-check it periodically and it lapses if you do not confirm it again. Tell us when you leave; keeping a badge for a job you have left is a breach of these terms.
Appearing on a company’s page does not make you their spokesperson, and nothing you post is made on their behalf. A company may dispute your claim to work there and we may remove the badge while we look into it.
You are responsible for what you post and send, including whether you are allowed to share it under your own employer’s rules and any confidentiality obligations you are under.
Messaging is for genuine professional contact. No bulk sending, no scraping, no reselling other members’ details, no automated collection of profiles.
7. Credits
Credits are a prepaid allowance used inside the site, for example to apply to a tender or to start a conversation with someone you are not connected to. They are not money, not a deposit, not e-money, cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be transferred between accounts.
Credits are spent when the thing you bought happens. We return credits in the cases the product sets out — for example, the deposit on an anonymous tender when the outcome is reported, or an application to a tender that is withdrawn. Beyond those cases, credits are non-refundable, and we are not obliged to refund credits because an application was unsuccessful or a conversation went nowhere.
Unused credits are lost if your account is closed for a breach of these terms. If we close your account for any other reason, we will refund unused purchased credits.
8. Acceptable use
Do not impersonate anyone, or register under a company you do not represent.
Do not post anything unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory or deliberately misleading.
Do not scrape, bulk-download, resell or republish our data, or use it to train a model, without our written agreement.
Do not attempt to identify a masked poster, or to work around a block another user has set.
Do not probe, overload or interfere with the site, or use it to distribute anything harmful.
We may suspend or close any account that breaches this section, without notice where the breach is serious.
9. Liability
The site is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will be available without interruption, that it is free of errors, or that anything published on it is accurate, complete or current.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or from any dealing with another user, including lost profit, lost business, lost contracts, lost data, or losses caused by relying on anything published here. Where we are liable, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred pounds.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Where you use the site as a consumer, nothing here affects your statutory rights.
You agree to cover our losses where a claim is brought against us because of what you posted, how you used the site, or your dealings with another user.
10. Data
How we handle personal data is set out in our disclaimer and data notice. In short: a public profile is public, you can stop appearing in search without deleting your profile, and you can ask us to delete your account and the personal data in it by emailing [email protected].
We keep records of identity checks, terms acceptances and tender activity for as long as we need them to run the service, resolve disputes and meet our own legal obligations.
11. General
We may change these terms. The version and date at the top of each section tells you what you accepted; where a change is material we will ask you to accept the new version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
