What the last check found

Banamex is a bank, not a payment rail, and no gateway documents it as a pay-in method. I checked every catalog that would carry it: dLocal's Mexico page (cards, OXXO, SPEI, CoDi, Domiciliación, Mercado Pago, Kueski, DiDi — no Banamex), EBANX's Mexico country overview, Rapyd's Mexico Cash Network and SPEI MX pages, Airwallex, Antom, Stripe and Adyen's full method catalogue. None names it. The omission is pointed in Rapyd's case: its Mexican over-the-counter network explicitly names BBVA Bancomer, Banco Azteca, Santander, Scotiabank and HSBC as bank payment points, and Banamex is absent — so anyone expecting a Banamex branch-counter rail should not assume one exists.

The one place it is documented is dLocal's Mexico payouts (v3) reference, where "Banamex" appears in the bank-code table as code 2, a value for `beneficiary.bank_account.code`. That makes it a disbursement destination, not a checkout option: you pay out to an 18-digit Banamex CLABE, and the same page states Mexico payout currency may be MXN or USD. The USD figure is stated for Mexico payouts generally, not for Banamex specifically.

Practically, Mexican consumers reach a merchant through SPEI, CoDi, OXXO or cards — a Banamex account holder pays via SPEI, which is interbank and names no bank. Documentation is silent on refunds, recurring, chargebacks and 3D Secure for Banamex, because no gateway treats it as a method. A pay-in country/currency row here is not supportable; the MX/MXN rows rest on the payout table alone.
