Bancomer

Bancomer is a specific branded method, not a category: it is the Mexican bank BBVA Bancomer (now BBVA Mexico), and the PDB listing itself describes it that way. Nuvei's entry is the same method, and Nuvei's own site proves it rather than me inferring it: https://www.nuvei.com/apm/bancomer carries the H1 "Bancomer" with the HTML title "BBVA Bancomer APM | Instant Bank Transfers in Mexico via Nuvei", and https://www.nuvei.com/apm/bbva-bancomer carries the H1 "BBVA Bancomer" — two slugs, one bank, identical coverage blocks ("Currencies MXN, USD" / "Supported Countries Mexico"). The /apm/bancomer page describes the rail as "Mexico-based cash payments and online banking. Redirects to merchant's checkout page for online bank transfer or cash payment at the bank branch", typed "Real-time Bank transfer" — the Bancomer bank rail, not an unrelated product sharing a word. I downloaded and parsed the matched spreadsheet (APMs-per-currency-and-country_Jan5_2026.xlsx, 500 rows): the only Bancomer row is row 132, "BBVA Bancomer | apmgw_BBVA_Bancomer | Deposit TRUE | Refund FALSE | Withdraw FALSE | MXN, USD | MX". There is no second, separate "Bancomer" row in that sheet, so no split-method risk from the gateway side. One near-miss I checked and excluded: row 131 is "BBVA | apmgw_BBVA | PEN, USD | PE" — a different BBVA entity (Peru), which must not be folded into this Mexican listing. Reported coverage is exactly what Nuvei states: country MX (Mexico), currencies MXN and USD. The USD entry is the gateway's own claim on both the spreadsheet row and the product page, not an assumption of mine. Caveat for the importer, not a coverage claim: the PDB methods taxonomy already contains a separate slug bbva-bancomer alongside bancomer, so these two rows are duplicates of one real-world method; attributing Nuvei to bancomer is correct on the facts (same bank, same rail, same MX/MXN+USD footprint), but the two slugs should eventually be merged rather than both grown. Nuvei's docs host has no per-APM page for Bancomer — the APMs overview page (linked from the product page, not guessed) lists Latin America guides for Banco Azteca, CoDi, OXXO, PIX and SPEI but not Bancomer, and points to the APM Input Parameters tables for the full list; docs.nuvei.com has no /llms.txt (the path returns the HTML shell), and its robots.txt names only wp-sitemap.xml. So the spreadsheet plus the two product pages are the full published record, not a gap in my search.
