CIMB is a Malaysian universal bank — CIMB Group describes itself as "a leading universal bank across ASEAN" with "Coverage 10 Markets" (7 ASEAN), RM794.9bn total assets as at 30 June 2026. In a payments directory "CIMB" is not one rail but two single-bank rails in two countries, and gateways name them separately.

Malaysia: a bank redirect. Rapyd documents it as `my_cimb_bank`, category "Bank Redirect (Malaysia)", MYR. This is CIMB's leg of FPX — Xendit's FPX page lists CIMB among ~23 participating banks, channel codes following its `{Bank Name}_FPX` / `{Bank Name}_FPX_BUSINESS` pattern, min 1 MYR, max 30,000 MYR retail and 1,000,000 MYR business, settlement T+2.

Indonesia: a CIMB Niaga virtual account. Rapyd calls it "CIMB Virtual Account (Indonesia)", `id_cimb_bank`, "Bank Transfer (Indonesia)", IDR, no limit when the payer banks with CIMB and 25,000,000 IDR otherwise, settlement 2–3 days. Midtrans documents the same thing as `cimb_va`, "facilitated by Bank CIMB Niaga", payable from any Indonesian bank account, default 24-hour expiry (configurable, "min 20s, max 180 days").

Integrators should note a contradiction between sources: Rapyd states refunds and recurring are supported and disputes/chargebacks are not; Xendit states FPX refunds are not supported at all. Nobody states partial refunds, and no source mentions 3D Secure (it does not apply to a bank redirect). Payouts are documented only generically: Rapyd's `id_local_bank` lists CIMB NIAGA as bank code 022, and `my_local_bank` lists CIMB Bank (CIBBMYKL), CIMB Islamic (CTBBMYKL) and CIMB Investment (COIMMYKL).

Adyen, Airwallex, Antom and dLocal all cover these markets but only in aggregate — "FPX Online Banking Malaysia", "Virtual Accounts Indonesia", "Indonesian Bank Transfer" — so CIMB is reachable through them without being named. EBANX publishes no Malaysia market page. CIMB's own site publishes no merchant acceptance documentation; this rail is reachable only through an aggregator.
