Merchants do not pay Walmart directly. Each payment provider that offers it sets its own rate, so compare a few and ask them to quote.

What the last check found

This is a place a payment can be made, not a payment method. It is one of the named counters inside somebody else's cash network — the gateway that documents it lists it alongside other shops in a single method — so it carries no country or currency of its own. The method is the network; this is a shop in it. Where the write-up below refers to a recorded country or currency, this line is the correction.

Checked 2026-10-21: Walmart is an acceptance counter inside other companies' Mexican cash rails, not a payment method, and should not carry a row. Three independent gateways agree, and the researcher's own notes reach the same conclusion while still filing MX/MXN.

Walmart is documented only as an acceptance brand inside Mexico's over-the-counter cash network, never as a rail of its own. Rapyd's Mexico Cash Network page (country Mexico, currency MXN, category "Bank Redirect, Cash") lists its per-chain transaction ceilings and gives "Walmart, Walmart Express, Sams Club, Bodega Aurrera, SuperFarmacia - up to 30,000 MXN" — the second-highest tier after the banks (215,000) and BBVA (199,000). The same page states settlement in 2-3 days and that refunds/reversals, recurring and chargebacks are not supported. Critically, Rapyd's own list of ~18 Mexican method codes (mx_7eleven_cash, mx_paycash_cash, mx_waldos_cash, mx_spei_bank and so on) contains no walmart, sams or superama code: a developer cannot request "Walmart". You create a cash payment on a network code, the shopper gets a textual/barcode/QR reference, and Walmart is one of the counters where that reference can be paid. PayRetailers' Mexico market page independently lists Walmart and Walmart Express among its cash payment points alongside 7-Eleven, Bodega Aurrera, Sam's Club, Soriana and the pharmacy chains.

Where documentation is silent: no gateway states refund, payout or recurring behaviour for Walmart specifically, no voucher expiry window is published, and no source checked attributes any country other than Mexico or any currency other than MXN. dLocal (Mexico page: OXXO only), EBANX (OXXO Pay only), Adyen, Stripe, Airwallex, Antom, Checkout.com and Mollie do not mention Walmart at all. For directory purposes this is best understood as a cash-network acceptance location, not a selectable method.
