SAME METHOD — confirmed, with a narrow footprint.

1) Not a generic category. "Western Union" is a specific branded money-transfer product of Western Union Company, not a kind of payment like "Cash Payment", "Bank transfer" or "P2P". It is a distinctive two-word trademark, so a name match here is strong rather than coincidental.

2) The gateway entry is the same method. I downloaded Nuvei's spreadsheet (HTTP 200, 42,720 bytes, sha256 6e4df7cd0cc6d399ece7850a7e2552c5b489449c48f03bc1c6f2eb643f4beaa8) and parsed the XLSX internals directly — unzipped it and resolved xl/sharedStrings.xml against xl/worksheets/sheet1.xml — rather than relying on a stale apms.tsv a previous run had left in the download directory. Row 495 of 499 reads: APM "Western_Union_Panama", paymentMethod "apmgw_Western_Union_Panama", Deposit TRUE, Refund FALSE, Withdraw FALSE, Supported Currencies "USD", Supported Countries "PA".

The gateway string carries the complete brand plus a country qualifier, which matches Nuvei's documented convention for country-scoped local rails elsewhere in the same file ("Others Cash MX", "OXXO_PAY", "Todito Cash(Direct Integration)", "SafetyPay_Cash"). It is the ONLY Western Union entry in the file: the only other strings containing "union" are "UnionPay"/"apmgw_UnionPay", a clearly different card scheme — and that is why the matcher reported tokens:western alone. Panama's other cash rails in the same file (PagoCash PA/USD; PayCash incl. PA; SafetyPay_Cash incl. PA) put a Western Union cash-collection rail in Panama exactly where one would be expected. This is not the "ATM Philippines" trap: there is no competing entity named Western Union, and the qualifier is a country, not a different company.

3) Coverage recorded: Panama (ISO PA) and USD — exactly and only what the gateway states. USD is coherent for Panama, which is dollarised.

IMPORTANT CAVEAT for the importer: this row is Nuvei's integration footprint, NOT Western Union's global footprint. Western Union the brand operates in far more countries, but Nuvei supports it in Panama only, deposit-only (Refund FALSE, Withdraw FALSE). Nothing here licenses widening the listing beyond PA, and the Nuvei file is not evidence of absence elsewhere either — it is evidence about Nuvei.

SOURCE COMPLETENESS: Nuvei publishes no dedicated Western Union guide page — established, not assumed. docs.nuvei.com/llms.txt returns 404; robots.txt points to wp-sitemap.xml; I pulled all four relevant sub-sitemaps (624 unique URLs) and found zero matches for "western" or "union". Nuvei's own Latin America guides index names 24 LatAm methods and Western Union is not among them. The XLSX is therefore the only Nuvei source that exists for this method.

SEPARATE FINDING, outside this listing's scope but worth acting on: in the repo, backend/src/db/data/method-countries.json lists "western-union" in its "global" slugs array alongside visa, paypal, swift and bank-transfer. That is a design assumption, not a sourced footprint, and it may cause country pages to show Western Union in every market on no source at all. Recommend reviewing whether a branded single-operator method belongs in that global list.
