Merchants do not pay Yape directly. Each payment provider that offers it sets its own rate, so compare a few and ask them to quote.
What the last check found
Yape is a single-country mobile wallet: every source that states a country states Peru only, and every source that states a currency states PEN only. Two gateways document it, and both split it into two products. dLocal exposes `YP` (Yape one-shot, `WALLET`, `REDIRECT` only) and `YE` (Yape Recurring); EBANX exposes `yape` and `yape-recurrent`. dLocal is the more precise source: minimum 1 PEN, maximum 2,000 PEN per transaction *and* per day, one-shot payments expire in 20 minutes, enrollments in 15, and refunds are full and partial for up to 365 days. Recurring works by one-time redirect enrollment (`ON_DEMAND` only) and then `DIRECT` charges; dLocal notes Yape returns `PENDING` on direct charges and settles by webhook, and that a new enrollment supersedes the old one (code `328`). dLocal also supports Yape as a *payout* destination (`INSTANT_PAYMENT`, bank code `037`, beneficiary by +51 mobile number) — unusual for a wallet, and the reason payouts is listed here.
Where the docs are silent or contradictory: no chargeback/dispute handling is documented for Yape (dLocal documents chargebacks for cards only), and no 3D Secure applies. dLocal says implementing cancel-enrollment is mandatory because "Yape offers no user-facing cancellation," while its own wallet-payments page says customers *can* cancel in-app — resolve this with dLocal before building subscriptions. USD is not supported: the payouts page itself conflicts on this. Adyen, Airwallex, Antom, Stripe, Checkout.com, Mollie, Rapyd and Worldline do not document Yape at all, so dLocal or EBANX is effectively the only route in.

- dLocal — Payment methods for Peru · docs.dlocal.comUsed for Country PE and currency PEN; Yape one-shot `YP` and Yape Recurring `YE` as WALLET/eWallet; REDIRECT flow; min 1 PEN; max 2,000 PEN per transaction and per day; 20-minute one-shot expiry and 15-minute enrollment expiry; refunds full AND partial up to 365 days (supports the 'refunds' and 'partial refunds' features); recurring supported on YE only (supports 'recurring'); chargebacks documented for cards only, hence NOT claimed for Yape; `device.type` MOBILE_APP vs WEB behaviour; no automatic callback to merchant app.Checked 20 October 2026
- dLocal — Payouts in Peru · docs.dlocal.comUsed for Supports the 'payouts' feature: Yape listed as a mobile-wallet payout destination under `INSTANT_PAYMENT` with bank code `037`, beneficiary identified by a +51 mobile number, in PEN. Also the source of the noted USD contradiction (bank-code table marks Yape as not supporting USD while the parameter table lists PEN or USD).Checked 20 October 2026
- EBANX — Peru country overview · docs.ebanx.comUsed for The only source that states who operates Yape: describes Yape as BCP's mobile wallet, popular with younger consumers. Confirms both Yape and Yape Recurring are offered in the Peru market and that PEN is the local currency.Checked 20 October 2026
- EBANX — Yape Integration Guide · docs.ebanx.comUsed for Second independent confirmation of country PE (`country: "pe"`) and currency PEN (`currency_code: "PEN"`); `payment_type_code: yape`; web flow requires `phone_number` and pushes a notification, mobile flow uses a deeplink; statuses PE/CO/CA. Also the basis for noting EBANX does not document limits, expiry, refunds, chargebacks or payouts for Yape.Checked 20 October 2026
- EBANX — Yape-Recurring Integration Guide · docs.ebanx.comUsed for Second independent confirmation of the 'recurring' feature: `yape-recurrent`, country pe/PE, currency must be PEN, enrollment frequencies monthly through yearly plus ondemand, enrollment approved in the Yape app, later charges need no customer action.Checked 20 October 2026
- dLocal — Wallet payments · docs.dlocal.comUsed for Yape `YE` enrollment mechanics: first enrollment-plus-payment must be REDIRECT, subsequent DIRECT charges use the enrollment ID, `device.type` always required and `payer.phone` required when WEB, Yape uniquely returns PENDING on DIRECT charges with final status by webhook, code `328` after cancellation. Source of the documented contradiction about whether customers can cancel in-app.Checked 20 October 2026
- Yape (operator site) · yape.com.peUsed for Confirms Yape is Peruvian and consumer-facing ('más de 19 millones de yaperos', QR code or mobile number to pay). Evidence that the operator's own site does NOT explicitly state BCP ownership (only an indirect reference to a 'tarjeta de débito BCP') and publishes no merchant acceptance, currency or fee detail — so the BCP attribution rests on EBANX.Checked 20 October 2026

- Nuvei — Yape local payment method · nuvei.comUsed for Supports the one correction I am making, which is to the notes prose rather than the coverage: Nuvei carries Yape and was not among the eight providers negative-checked, so 'dLocal or EBANX is effectively the only route in' overstates what was verified. Also serves as a third independent witness for the recorded coverage — it names Peru and no other country, and states no currency, so it neither extends nor contradicts PE / PEN.Checked 21 October 2026
- Yape (payment) — Wikipedia · en.wikipedia.orgUsed for Independent confirmation of identity: Yape is BCP's wallet, launched 2016 in Lima, ruling out the same-name confusion that has bitten this directory before. Also the record of the Bolivian footprint (served area Bolivia, predecessor Soli) that I considered as under-claiming and deliberately did NOT add to countries — documented here so the editor can see the Bolivia question was examined and why BO/BOB were rejected.Checked 21 October 2026
