What AffinOnline costs
AffinOnline quotes per merchant. What you are offered depends on your volume, your industry, the countries you sell in, your card mix and your risk profile — so a published headline rate would not be your rate. Ask them for a quote against your own numbers.
What the last check found
AffinOnline is not a network — it is the online-banking front end of one Malaysian bank, Affin Bank Berhad, exposed to merchants as a single issuer inside FPX, the interbank rail PayNet operates. Billplz's API reference is the only gateway documentation that uses the name itself: in its FPX "Retail / B2C" code table, bank code ABB0233 is "affinOnline" (the corporate twin is B2B1-ABB0235, "AFFINMAX"). Adyen reaches the same bank as issuer fpx_abb, labelled "Affin Bank"; Airwallex lists Affin Bank among the 18 supported FPX banks. You cannot buy it alone: Adyen states that to comply with PayNet rules all issuers in the list must appear at checkout, so integrating FPX means accepting all 18 banks, not picking Affin. Everything quantitative therefore belongs to FPX, not to Affin: Malaysia only, MYR only, redirect with customer authentication at the bank, refunds and partial refunds (180 days per Airwallex and Antom, 60 days per Stripe), no recurring, no chargebacks. Per-transaction caps differ by acquirer — 2,000 MYR at Airwallex, 30,000 MYR at Antom — and Airwallex notes the shopper's own internet-banking limit still applies. Affin Bank also appears on PayNet's list of banks a merchant can sign FPX with directly ([email protected]), which supports the directory's "both" typing. Documentation is silent on payouts through this channel: Billplz lists Affin's SWIFT code PHBMMYKL for disbursements, but that is a transfer to an Affin account, not the affinOnline collection rail. dLocal documents FPX for Malaysia without naming any issuer. The consumer brand has moved on — Affin's retail banking is now "AffinAlways", and affinonline.com no longer resolves.
