What Extra costs
Merchants do not pay Extra directly. Each payment provider that offers it sets its own rate, so compare a few and ask them to quote.

What the last check found
Extra is not a scheme or a wallet: it is one store brand inside Rapyd's "Mexico Cash Network", a bundle of 18 over-the-counter collection points (Banco Azteca, BBVA Bancomer, 7-Eleven, CircleK, Farmacias Benavides, Farmacias del Ahorro, Waldos, Paycash, ZeroPago, SPEI Bank and others) that Rapyd documents as one method family. Rapyd states the row explicitly: PMT name "Extra Payments Mexico", code `mx_extra_cash`, country Mexico, currency MXN, maximum 10,000 MXN per transaction (the mid-tier cap it shares with CircleK and Chedraui; bank entries in the same network go up to 215,000 MXN). The network details table says refunds/reversals, recurring payments and disputes/chargebacks are all NOT supported, settlement is 2–3 days, and the cash code may be textual, barcode or QR. Flow: create the payment, show the customer the one-time code, status sits at ACT until the till reports payment, then CLO plus a Payment Completed webhook; `is_cancelable: false`. Payouts/disbursements are nowhere mentioned for it. Integrator reality: this is reachable only through an aggregator — Rapyd is the single gateway of ten checked that names it. dLocal's and EBANX's Mexico pages document OXXO Pay and SPEI only; Stripe's catalogue lists OXXO as its one MXN cash method; Adyen, Airwallex, Antom and Checkout.com name no Mexican cash retailer at all. Documentation is silent on who operates the chain, store count and geographic spread, and tiendasextra.com.mx is an "en construcción" placeholder. Note for the existing row: earlier internal research filed Extra as Brazil (extramercado.com.br). Nothing supports that — dLocal's and EBANX's Brazil pages list no retailer cash brands. The country should be MX.
