Facilito is a cash-based payment network enabling customers to pay online orders at participating retail outlets across supported Latin American regions. Merchants generate a barcode or payment code that customers settle in-store. Payments are confirmed through batch or real-time API updates. Facilito reduces fraud and expands reach to unbanked users, making it ideal for digital goods, e-commerce, and bill payment use cases.
What Facilito costs
Merchants do not pay Facilito directly. Each payment provider that offers it sets its own rate, so compare a few and ask them to quote.
What the last check found
Facilito is a single-country cash rail, not a card scheme or bank transfer. Its own site describes it as "tu solución integral para pagos de servicios en Ecuador" — a retail agent network where customers pay over 500 services in cash, plus deposits, withdrawals, top-ups and credit payments. The logo identifies it as "a Prosegur company", so the operator is Prosegur's Ecuadorian cash business; the site gives a Guayaquil office and no other market.
For an integrator, the only gateway documentation that exists is Rapyd's. Rapyd lists Facilito under Americas payment method types and gives it a dedicated page with two codes, `ec_facilito_cash` ("Ecuador Facilito Cash Payments") and `ec_facilito_primary_cash`. The flow is the standard LatAm cash voucher: the shopper picks cash at checkout, gets a textual Paycode, pays a cashier at a Facilito POS, and the merchant is notified on settlement. Rapyd states country "Ecuador", a ceiling of "up to 10,000 USD", textual code type and 2–3 day settlement — and explicitly "No" for refunds/reversals, recurring and disputes/chargebacks. Treat it as a one-way, irreversible, non-recurring collection rail.
Two gaps worth knowing. Rapyd records the presentment currency as "N/A" rather than naming one; USD is recorded here because Rapyd's own limit is denominated in USD and Ecuador is dollarised (dLocal and EBANX both state USD as Ecuador's only currency). And nobody else documents it: Adyen, Stripe, Airwallex, Antom and Checkout.com have no Facilito entry, while dLocal's Ecuador page offers Pago Efectivo and Deuna and EBANX's offers only cards and SafetyPay. Reaching Facilito therefore means going through Rapyd. Payout/disbursement support is simply not addressed anywhere.
Checked again on 2026-10-21 and corrected: Coverage holds: EC + USD, both now directly sourced. I am correcting one factual claim in the write-up and adding a source.

Also gives a conflicting ceiling, "Facilito - up to US$500", against Rapyd's "Up to 10,000 USD" (PPRO assigns the US$10,000 tier to Banco del Barrio, Banco Guayaquil, Banco Pichincha and Pichincha Mi Vecino).Checked 21 October 2026
