MB Cash quotes per merchant. What you are offered depends on your volume, your industry, the countries you sell in, your card mix and your risk profile — so a published headline rate would not be your rate. Ask them for a quote against your own numbers.

What the last check found

No published source names "MB Cash". I checked the four big method catalogues directly (Adyen, Airwallex, Antom, Stripe), Worldline's own sitemap of per-method pages (49 slugs), Nuvei's APM directory (~500 entries, including obscure cash brands such as OKTO Cash, Paysafe Cash, Pay By Cash, eCashout), and the /llms.txt page indexes for Checkout.com, Mollie, Rapyd, dLocal, EBANX and Paysafe, plus dLocal's Coverage page and EBANX's payment-methods-by-country overview. Every one of those that covers Portugal documents exactly two "MB"-prefixed rails — MB WAY and Multibanco, both PT/EUR — and nothing called MB Cash. SIBS, which owns the Multibanco "MB" brand, publishes 51 solution pages; none is MB Cash. MuchBetter, which this directory lists as a provider of it, does use an MB prefix (MB Coins) but brands its cash rail "MuchBetter PVR" (Punto Vendita Ricarica, retail cash top-up); its sitemap has no MB Cash page and no cash product of that name.

Provenance is weak. The term exists in PaymentsDatabase's pre-migration WordPress export only as a bare taxonomy term (term_id 1212) with a logo upload, MB-Cash.png of 3 March 2026, attached to no provider profile; the logo now in the repo was pulled from mbway.pt's favicon, which is also where the Portugal/EUR row and the generic "digital payment platform" blurb came from. So the one country and one currency it holds are inference, not evidence.

Recommendation: leave countries and currencies empty, mark unverified, and treat it as a probable duplicate or artifact of MB WAY. Documentation is silent on everything — operator, country, currency, refunds, recurring, payouts. (WebSearch budget for this run was exhausted before I started, so this rests on direct fetches only; a brand-name search could still turn up an operator.)
