Shopify's own acceptance, built into the platform and available to merchants in 41 countries.

Shopify Payments is acceptance sold as part of the shop rather than as a separate relationship. A merchant on Shopify turns it on instead of integrating a gateway, and payouts, refunds and disputes are handled inside the same admin as the orders.

It is available to merchants in 41 countries — most of the EU and EEA, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Mexico and the United Arab Emirates, plus Gibraltar and Liechtenstein.

The trade is the usual one for a platform-native processor: very little to set up, and the processor is chosen for you unless you pay Shopify's fee for using someone else. Worth weighing against a standalone acquirer if you sell on more than one platform.
