VietinBank is the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (ticker CTG), one of Vietnam's four majority state-owned commercial banks. It is not a scheme or a wallet: as a "payment method" it is a single-bank rail inside one country, reachable only through an aggregator, and it surfaces either as a bank-redirect pay-in or as a payout destination bank.
Only two gateways document it. 2C2P lists it three times in its Payment Channels reference: as agent code VNVTB under both the Web Payment (WEBPAY) and Web Payment Card (WPC) groups — the same group that holds Maybank2U, CIMB Clicks and DBS, i.e. bank-hosted online-banking redirects — and as channel code VIETINBNPL ("Vietin Bank") under Buy Now Pay Later, all with Country/Region VN. Note the WEBPAY row is spelled out in full as "Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade Bank", not as "VietinBank", which is why name-matching misses it. 2C2P separately lists bank code VIETINBANK ("Công Thương Việt Nam") in the Vietnam section of its Payout Bank Code table. dLocal lists "Vietinbank" as bank code 2 in its Vietnam payouts v3 bank-code table, used with payment_method_id BANK_TRANSFER, country VN, currency VND (dLocal also permits USD in the payout currency field for Vietnam).
Where documentation is silent: no gateway states refunds, partial refunds, recurring, chargebacks or 3-D Secure for this rail, and 2C2P's channel tables carry no currency column at all. dLocal's own Vietnam pay-in page omits VietinBank entirely — its acceptance set there is wallets and QR plus Napas cards. Adyen, Antom, Airwallex, Stripe, Checkout.com, Mollie, Rapyd and Worldline do not mention it anywhere. VietinBank runs its own merchant signup, "VietinBank Merchant Online", but publishes no public API docs.
