What the last check found

Aircash is an e-money institution, not a gateway. Aircash d.o.o. is incorporated in Croatia and authorised and supervised by the Croatian National Bank as an EMI — the first Croatian digital wallet to hold that licence, in 2019. Its /about page claims 1.9m+ active users and 250,000+ retail locations. A Vienna-based holding company, Aircash CE, holds non-Croatian licences, including the Republika Srpska one covering Bosnia.

Merchant-side there are three products that are easy to conflate: AircashPay, a QR-code or phone-number wallet checkout; Abon, a 16-digit voucher bought for cash at POS; and Marketplace deposits, a server-to-server top-up flow with a pre-deposit notification to the merchant.

The documentation situation is the thing to know. Aircash publishes no coverage page and no developer portal. Its own figures are counts only: "16+ Countries" and "10+ Supported currencies" on /about, "more than ten European countries" on /business, "15 markets" in a 2025 press release. The only exhaustive country enumeration it publishes anywhere is the market selector in the site header, mirrored in hreflang and in /sitemap/index — which robots.txt points to, since /sitemap.xml 404s. That selector lists exactly 16 markets. Currencies are never enumerated: the exchange-rate table renders client-side from a runtime call, and the page names only EUR, RON and HUF, in a worked example of cross-currency conversion via EUR.

Consequently every public API spec for Aircash belongs to someone else: Nuvei, PXP/Kalixa (method ID 441, Backend2Backend plus a redirect hand-off; Kalixa's own Redirect Integration product is marked "currently not supported" for it), and Monri (a client-side `air-cash` component that must load from monri.com). Those PSP footprints are far wider than Aircash's markets — Nuvei states 32 countries including Belgium, France, Ireland, the Nordics and the Western Balkans — because they describe where the Abon voucher is accepted, not where the wallet is issued. Keep the two separate.

A merchant can go direct: /business runs a contact-form onboarding and says integration is "either through an existing plugin or via an API", with a free Magento plugin or WSPay as the no-development route. The API exists but its documentation is gated behind that sales conversation.
