What Elo costs

Merchants do not pay Elo directly. Each payment provider that offers it sets its own rate, so compare a few and ask them to quote.

What the last check found

Nuvei's integration data records this as an acceptance method rather than a payout rail: it takes payments and supports refunds, but money cannot be sent out through it. The distinction matters because a "supported payment methods" list treats paying in and paying out as the same thing, and for most local rails they are not — of the methods checked in this pass, far more accept money than return it.

A single-country method, in Brazil, documented by Adyen and Nuvei. Nothing wrong with that — a domestic rail is usually the cheapest and highest-converting way to be paid in its own market, and the reason to care about it is precisely that it is the local default rather than a global option.

Adyen files it under "Credit and debit cards", and states it supports 3D Secure, Chargebacks, Multiple partial captures, Multiple partial refunds, Partial captures, Partial refunds, Recurring and Separate captures. Its catalog is the one place in this industry that publishes a method's countries, its processing currencies and its settlement currencies separately, which is the difference between what a customer can be charged in and what a merchant can be paid in.
