Antom

Antom is not a company. Its own documentation calls it "the overseas acquiring service provided by Ant International for merchants", and three licensed entities carry it, all renamed off "Alipay" in 2025.

UK merchants contract AIUK Services Limited, an FCA-authorised EMI, FRN 927634 — confirmed on the FCA's firm checker as AIUK Services Limited, website global.alipay.com, E1W 1UN, currently holding permission, with the FCA's published e-money register giving its status as Authorised Electronic Money Institution. Companies House shows company 08098385, incorporated 8 June 2012 as Alipay (Europe) Limited, then Alipay (UK) Limited until 22 July 2025, and GLEIF gives the same entity LEI 254900DHYXCLZ6RCDI09 at the E1W 1UN address. Worth knowing for anyone checking: a search of the FCA register for "Antom" returns nothing at all, because the register holds the legal name — which is exactly how a real authorisation comes to look like a missing one.

EEA merchants contract AIEU Services Limited S.A. in Luxembourg, CSSF-authorised to issue e-money and provide payment services, CSSF code W00000009, RCS Luxembourg B188095, with GLEIF independently confirming the entity and its address. That code could not be resolved on the CSSF register, whose entity search is a form, so it is not recorded as an authorisation here. Everywhere else, including Indonesia and Malaysia, whose privacy policies name no local entity, runs through AISG E-Commerce Private Limited, which MAS's own directory lists as a Major Payment Institution for cross-border money transfer, UEN 201000378D; MAS publishes no reference for it and the directory page could not be read. A Brazilian CNPJ could not be found on any BCB register.

All of these are e-money or payment licences, not banking licences. Antom's Singapore safeguarding disclosure states that merchant money sits in trust accounts at an unnamed safeguarding institution, commingled with other clients' funds.

Two entities hold merchant relationships with no verifiable authorisation: AMX Merchant Services S. de R.L. de C.V. in Mexico, whose company form cannot be an IFPE, so it reads as an unlicensed aggregator; and AICA Merchant Services Inc. in Canada, addressed in Sunnyvale, California, where FINTRAC's MSB register returned 403. The Antom Business Account in Australia and New Zealand is issued not by Antom but by World First Pty Ltd, ABN 42 132 368 971, a sibling Ant International brand. No founding year could be sourced: no Antom or Ant International page states one.
