What Mazooma costs
Mazooma quotes per merchant. What you are offered depends on your volume, your industry, the countries you sell in, your card mix and your risk profile — so a published headline rate would not be your rate. Ask them for a quote against your own numbers.
What the last check found
Mazooma is not a local bank rail or a cash network: it is a US bank-account funding product for sportsbooks and online casinos, and it no longer exists as an independent brand. mazooma.com 301-redirects to Nuvei's "U.S. Bank Transfer" page, and Nuvei's developer docs state plainly that "Nuvei IBT was previously known as Mazooma." The legacy name survives in the API itself — the account-registration call still takes apmData.mazooma_fi_routing, mazooma_fi_account_number and mazooma_fi_account_type (PC/PS).
Integration shape: a /payment call with paymentMethod apmgw_eCheckSelect returns a redirectUrl; the customer is sent to their bank (Plaid-style account capture, must not be iframed) and the account is stored as a UPO. Repeat deposits reuse the UPO; withdrawals are only possible through a UPO. Nuvei first authorises against available funds — "IBT – US does not actually perform the transfer at this point" — then debits via ACH, retrying R01/R09 returns up to twice with representment DMNs, so an APPROVED can later flip to DECLINED. Payouts report ach (2–3 days) or rtp (near-instant). Refunds and recurring are both marked unsupported; Nuvei's own country/currency matrix lists eCheckSelect as Deposit TRUE, Refund FALSE, Withdraw TRUE, USD, US. Only US-based IPs work, and Chase blocks in-app WebView.
Documentation gaps: no transaction limits, no dispute/chargeback handling, no bank-coverage count, and no stated vertical (the marketing page only shows Bet365/BetMGM/DraftKings/FanDuel logos). No third-party gateway documents Mazooma — Adyen, Stripe, Airwallex and Antom catalogues contain no mention — so it is reachable through Nuvei only. Note Nuvei separately lists apmgw_Instant_Bank_Transfer (CAD, CA); docs do not tie that Canadian APM to the Mazooma brand, so no CA row is justified. Also distinct from Mazooma Interactive Games, an unrelated UK amusement-machine developer.

- UK Companies House name search: "Mazooma" · find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.ukUsed for Ruling out the name-collision failure mode: all four Mazooma-named UK entities (08142290, 08142298, 07379188, 03437067) are dissolved games/gaming-machine companies, not payment companies, so no live payments provider shares the name.Checked 20 October 2026

- Nuvei — APMs per currency and country (master spreadsheet, last modified January 2026) · docs.nuvei.comUsed for DEFINITIVE independent confirmation of both coverage fields. Downloaded and parsed (500 rows, cols: APM / paymentMethod / Deposit / Refund / Withdraw / Supported Currencies / Supported Countries). Row 188 reads verbatim: APM 'eCheckSelect', paymentMethod 'apmgw_eCheckSelect', Deposit TRUE, Refund FALSE, Withdraw TRUE, Supported Currencies 'USD', Supported Countries 'US'. Row 189 'eCheckSelect_DOB' / 'apmgw_eCheckSelect_DOB' is identical (USD / US), matching the dateOfBirth requirement the record notes. This also independently confirms payments+payouts yes / refunds no. CRITICAL ADJACENT-ROW TRAP THE RECORD AVOIDED: row 187 is a DIFFERENT APM — 'eCheck' / 'apmgw_eCheck' / Supported Currencies 'CAD, USD' / Supported Countries 'CA'. Had the researcher matched on 'eCheck' rather than 'eCheckSelect', CA and CAD would have been wrongly added. The record uses the correct APM code.Checked 20 October 2026
- Nuvei docs — APM Countries and Currencies · docs.nuvei.comUsed for Establishes publishes_coverage=true at the provider level, not just the single method page. Reached via the docs sitemap (docs.nuvei.com/llms.txt returns 404; sitemap.xml is an index of 12 child sitemaps, and wp-sitemap-posts-manual_documentation-1.xml names this page). Page text: 'Press the icon below to download an Excel file that lists all supported countries and currencies per APM.' Coverage is published per-APM in the linked spreadsheet rather than inline on the page, so a fetch of the HTML alone looks empty — the data is published, not missing.Checked 20 October 2026
- Nuvei docs — INTERAC Instant guide · docs.nuvei.comUsed for Rules out the one plausible UNDER-claim (Canada). The Nuvei IBT page sits in the 'us-and-canada-guides' regional bucket and the completion press release calls the acquisition 'North American', which could suggest CA/CAD belong in the footprint. It does not: Nuvei's Canadian instant bank transfer is a separate APM — supported country 'Canada', supported currency 'CAD', paymentMethod 'apmgw_INTERAC_Instant' — and does not mention Mazooma. Confirmed against the Nuvei IBT page itself, which names only United States and USD, never mentions Canada or CAD, and states 'Nuvei IBT only supports US-based IPs' / 'IP addresses outside the US do not work'. countries=['US'] is therefore a ceiling, not an omission.Checked 20 October 2026
- Nuvei Control Panel — Instant Bank Transfer – US (finance reports) · docs.nuvei.comUsed for Third corroboration of US-only scope from a different part of Nuvei's docs: the Control Panel finance reporting section for this product is titled 'Instant Bank Transfer – US' and the only country named is the US. Disambiguates the overloaded 'IBT' acronym — Nuvei's marketing site also groups an 'Instant Bank Transfer' under Canada Bank Transfer alongside Interac, but the documented, APM-coded Mazooma successor is the US one.Checked 20 October 2026

- Nuvei documentation sitemap (wp-sitemap-posts-manual_documentation-1.xml) · docs.nuvei.comUsed for Fetched (HTTP 200) to test for a hidden Canadian footprint: the sitemap lists exactly one Nuvei IBT integration guide, /documentation/us-and-canada-guides/nuvei-ibt/ (the US/USD page cited), plus only three control-panel report pages (ibt-balance-report, ibt-daily-summary, ibt-movement-report). No second IBT/Mazooma guide exists, confirming no CA/CAD coverage is published for the former Mazooma brand.Checked 20 October 2026
