What Moov costs

Merchants do not pay Moov directly. Each payment provider that offers it sets its own rate, so compare a few and ask them to quote.

What the last check found

Moov is the mobile money wallet of the Moov Africa operators, the African subsidiaries of Maroc Telecom (Wikipedia's Maroc Telecom page lists Moov Africa Burkina Faso, Malitel, Côte d'Ivoire, Benin, Togo, Niger, Central African Republic and Chad). The operator's own site, moov-africa.bf, brands the consumer service "Moov Money" in Burkina Faso. It is a telco wallet, not a bank rail or a card scheme.

Documentation is thin and almost entirely about payouts. dLocal names `MOOV` as an accepted `beneficiary.instant_payment.type` on five payout pages — Togo ("`MOOV` or `TG`"), Côte d'Ivoire ("`MOOV`, `ORANGE`, `MTN`"), Benin ("`MTN`, `MOOV`, or `Celtiis`"), Burkina Faso ("`MOOV`, `ORANGE`") and Mali ("`ORANGE` or `MOOV`"). All five settle in XOF; Côte d'Ivoire and Mali accept XOF or USD as the FX source currency. pawaPay publishes `MOOV_BEN` (BEN, XOF) and `MOOV_BFA` (BFA, XOF) and states the provider code is mandatory in `accountDetails` for both Deposits and Payouts — the only evidence found that Moov can also collect, not just disburse.

Where it is silent: Adyen's 113-method catalog, Airwallex, Antom, Stripe, Checkout.com and Rapyd's EMEA page all have no Moov entry and no francophone West African mobile money at all; EBANX's African markets are only Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa. dLocal's own pay-in pages for Benin, Niger and Chad list cards only, and its mobile-money pay-in page omits Moov entirely. No source states refunds, recurring billing, chargebacks or 3-D Secure. pawaPay's "Not supported" against Moov refers to decimals in the amount, not a capability. Practically: reachable only through an aggregator, and for most integrators a disbursement rail.
