Brand and logo policy
Last updated 6 November 2026
The short version
- You may name PaymentsDatabase and link to it. Do not use our mark in a way that suggests we endorse or partner with you.
- Provider and method logos are shown to identify, never to suggest a partnership.
- A logo is taken from the owner’s own public material, or supplied by the owner.
- Owners can ask us to correct, replace or remove their logo at any time.
1. Our name and mark
PaymentsDatabase and the PaymentsDatabase mark are ours. You may use the name in plain text to refer to the site — for example “listed on PaymentsDatabase” with a link to your listing — and you may show a screenshot of a page you appear on.
Do not: alter our mark; use it as part of your own name, logo, domain or app; use it in adverts for your own products; or use it in any way that suggests we endorse, certify or partner with you, or that rates you above others. For anything beyond plain reference, ask us first.
2. What our marks mean on the site
- Verified (green) on a person means a work email on their employer’s own domain was confirmed on the date shown. On a listing it means the provider confirmed the listing. It is not a check of competence, conduct, licensing or financial standing.
- The PaymentsDatabase badge (yellow) is awarded by us to recognise a member. It says nothing about their employer or their work.
- Sponsored marks a placement somebody paid for. See the advertising and referrals policy.
Members may not copy, imitate or claim any of these marks.
3. Logos of providers and payment methods
Names and logos of payment providers, payment methods, card schemes and banks belong to their owners. We show them next to the listing they belong to, at a small size, unaltered except for resizing and fitting into a square, so that a reader can recognise who a listing is about.
We take a logo from the owner’s own public material (its website, its press or brand page, or a public register), or use one the owner supplied when claiming its listing. We never show a logo as an endorsement of PaymentsDatabase, of another listing, or of any member.
4. Correcting or removing a logo
If you own a mark we show and want it replaced, corrected or removed, write to [email protected] from an address at your company, telling us which listing and what you want changed. We act on these requests promptly. If you work at the provider, you can also claim the listing and manage its logo yourself.
Concerns about anything else that may infringe your rights are handled under the copyright and IP policy.

5. LinkedIn, Instagram and other networks
Members can add links to their own profiles on other networks. We show those links by the network’s name in text; we do not use the networks’ logos as decoration, and a link is not an endorsement by that network. Their sites are governed by their own terms and policies.
