The short version
- We use no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies and no tracking pixels — ours or anyone else’s.
- What the site keeps in your browser is there to sign you in and to remember the choices you made.
- Nearly all of it is local storage, which never leaves your browser and is not sent to us with each visit.
- Clearing your browser’s site data removes all of it; you will need to sign in again.
1. What we store, and why
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, a site may store things on your device without asking only when they are strictly necessary for a service you asked for. Everything else needs your consent. Our functional items only remember choices you made on purpose (pressing Compare, picking a colour), and none of them is used to follow you, profile you or show you adverts.

2. What we do not use
No Google Analytics or any other analytics service, no Meta pixel, no LinkedIn Insight tag, no advertising networks, no session recording and no fingerprinting. Views of a profile are counted on our own server without a cookie; the member sees the count and, if you were signed in when you looked, that it was you (see the privacy notice).
Our typeface is served from our own domain, so loading a page does not tell a font provider you visited.
3. Other people’s sites
Provider websites, LinkedIn, Instagram and any other site we link to set their own cookies under their own policies once you go there. We do not embed their trackers on our pages.
4. Your control
You can delete any of this at any time from your browser’s settings for paymentsdatabase.com. Signing out removes your sign-in token; Appearance has a “Reset to default”. Blocking Cloudflare’s cookie can stop the site loading, because it is part of how the site is protected.
