What Touch 'n Go costs

Touch 'n Go quotes per merchant. What you are offered depends on your volume, your industry, the countries you sell in, your card mix and your risk profile — so a published headline rate would not be your rate. Ask them for a quote against your own numbers.

What the last check found

Touch 'n Go is two Malaysian entities behind one brand, and a directory should know which it has listed. Touch 'n Go Sdn Bhd runs the 1997-vintage NFC prepaid card, the RFID toll tag and the Charm wearable — closed-loop toll, transit and parking rails (33 highways, 2,566 parking sites, 4.5m RFID tags as of December 2025). TNG Digital Sdn Bhd, formed in 2017 as a Touch 'n Go/Ant Financial joint venture and launched in 2018, operates TNG eWallet and is an approved e-money issuer regulated by Bank Negara Malaysia. The nine providers listing "Touch 'n Go" as an accepted method almost certainly mean the eWallet. Neither group's About page discloses shareholders.

MY/MYR is correct, and the cleanest confirmation is third-party acquirer documentation rather than the brand's own site: Antom (Ant International) documents Touch'n Go eWallet with buyer country Malaysia and MYR as the sole processing currency, a redirect flow, 0.05–20,000 MYR per transaction, partial refunds within 365 days, and no chargeback support.

Direct integration is real on both sides of the counter. Merchant registration is free, takes about 30 minutes, needs no documents and approves instantly; the Business Account settles instantly with no fees or minimum balance and pays out to any bank via DuitNow, with limits of RM60k wallet/RM75k monthly for individual traders versus RM500k/RM625k for SSM-registered companies. For e-commerce, TNG Digital sells its own gateway with self-service application (Lazada, TikTok Shop, Foodpanda, Taobao cited). What it does not publish is any developer material — no API reference, SDK or sandbox anywhere on touchngo.com.my or tngdigital.com.my, and the latter's llms.txt confirms the gap. Expect an acquirer's docs or a sales conversation.

Coverage caveat: TNG users can pay abroad via Alipay+ "in over 50 countries", but only eight are named (Mainland China, Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau). That is outbound spending power, not a footprint — a Japanese merchant accepts Alipay+, not Touch 'n Go, so those markets belong on the Alipay+ listing. The foreign-visitor "eligible countries" selector renders "Total 0 countries/regions". Established without web search (per-run budget exhausted): all of the above is from direct fetches of both first-party sites, their sitemaps and llms.txt, and Antom's acquirer docs.
