What SPEI costs
Merchants do not pay SPEI directly. Each payment provider that offers it sets its own rate, so compare a few and ask them to quote.
What the last check found
Nuvei's integration data records this as an acceptance method rather than a payout rail: it takes payments and supports refunds, but money cannot be sent out through it. The distinction matters because a "supported payment methods" list treats paying in and paying out as the same thing, and for most local rails they are not — of the methods checked in this pass, far more accept money than return it.
A single-country method, in Mexico, documented by Nuvei and Airwallex. Nothing wrong with that — a domestic rail is usually the cheapest and highest-converting way to be paid in its own market, and the reason to care about it is precisely that it is the local default rather than a global option.
