What Tink costs
Tink quotes per merchant. What you are offered depends on your volume, your industry, the countries you sell in, your card mix and your risk profile — so a published headline rate would not be your rate. Ask them for a quote against your own numbers.

What the last check found
Tink is not one licence-holder but three entities inside Visa.
The licensed core is Tink AB (Stockholm, corporate identity number 556898-2192, LEI 5493006USHNLYNUWZV52), an authorised payment institution supervised by Finansinspektionen under FI identification number 44059, with register status active since 2016-05-13. It holds exactly two PSD2 permissions on FI's own company register: payment initiation services and account information services, both granted 17 September 2018. It has no funds-handling permissions at all — no money remittance, no acquiring, no e-money. That is the thing a merchant should know: Tink initiates a payment from the payer's own bank account to the merchant's and never holds the money, so there is no Tink float to be exposed to.
FI's cross-border record shows that Swedish licence passported into 25 further EEA states, 26 including Sweden, which is more than the 20 countries on this listing and more than Tink's own claim of 19 European markets. FI also registers An Post of Dublin as Tink AB's agent for account information services (FI id 66883, active 2022-04-25).
Separately, Tink Germany GmbH of Munich holds its own BaFin ZAG licence, BaFin-ID 10152149, for account information and payment initiation services since 1 March 2019, with a passport reaching 30 EEA states — wider than Tink AB's. That licence predates Tink's acquisition of the Munich open-banking firm FinTecSystems, so this is that already-licensed entity renamed. The BaFin reference is not recorded as an authorisation here: the portal returned a malformed response and the ID could not be resolved.
The UK position is partly settled and partly open. Tink Financial Services Limited (company 12347825, registered at Visa Europe's 1 Sheldon Square) is active and does hold FCA permission: the FCA's firm checker lists it at FRN 988456, also known as Tink, W2 6TT, and the checker lists only firms that currently hold permission. What that permission covers has not been read, and the firm does not appear on the FCA's published e-money register, so it is not an electronic money institution and no UK authorisation is recorded here until the permission itself has been read. Tink's own legal pages name only the Swedish regulator. Tink AB's UK branch (FC038906, opened 16 December 2020) closed on 27 November 2025.
