What MyBank costs
MyBank quotes per merchant. What you are offered depends on your volume, your industry, the countries you sell in, your card mix and your risk profile — so a published headline rate would not be your rate. Ask them for a quote against your own numbers.
What the last check found
MyBank holds no authorisation anywhere, and that is the finding on this listing — it is the reason there is nothing under its authorisations.
MyBank is not a licence-holder but a scheme, owned and managed by PRETA S.A.S. (SIREN 798 483 053, RCS Paris, 40 rue de Courcelles, 75008 Paris), a wholly owned subsidiary of EBA CLEARING, which is itself owned by 48 European banks. PRETA's own site calls MyBank "a scheme-based digital payment solution" built on the four-corner model: a Payer PSP, which is the payer's bank, and a Payee PSP, which is the merchant's bank or PSP, with PRETA operating only the central routing platform. The payer authorises a SEPA credit transfer inside their own online banking, and the funds move bank to bank without ever passing through PRETA.
ACPR's REGAFI — the register that would hold a French credit institution, payment institution or EMI — returns nothing for SIREN 798483053, nothing for the name PRETA, and nothing for "MYBANK" as a trading name or acronym. PRETA's French activity code is 82.99Z, other business support services, not a financial code. Because the EBA's EU payment institutions register is populated from the national registers, an entity absent from REGAFI will not appear there either. EBA CLEARING is also absent from REGAFI: it is a payment-system operator, STEP2, overseen as market infrastructure rather than authorised as a PSP. A scheme operator needs no payment licence, so the absence is expected rather than suspicious.
What a merchant should know: MyBank never holds your money, so PRETA is not the entity to diligence. The funds sit with your Payee PSP, the bank or PSP that onboarded you, which per MyBank's own documentation carries KYC and AML responsibility for you, and that licence has to be checked participant by participant. MyBank's claimed PSD2, GDPR and AML compliance is a rule imposed on licensed participants, not an authorisation MyBank holds.
