Saudi Central Bank (SAMA)Licence to provide digital payment services through an electronic wallet (January 2025)Register
Authorisations HyperPay holds, as published by the provider or regulator. Check the register entry before relying on it.
HyperPay is a Riyadh-based payment gateway that has been processing online payments since 2014. Its founder and chief executive is Muhannad Ebwini, and Mada' Investment Company is among its investors. In January 2025 the Saudi Central Bank licensed the company to provide digital payment services through an electronic wallet in the Kingdom. Merchant accounts are still opened with a partner bank as one step of onboarding.
The company says it covers nine countries. Its about page lists local-currency acquiring through bank partners in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt and Bahrain, and the homepage adds Oman, Qatar and Iraq. Offices are in Riyadh, Dubai, Amman, Cairo and Bahrain. Next to the gateway it sells recurring billing, payouts, fraud screening, reporting and a product for hotels, and it holds PCI DSS Level 1 and ISO 27001 certification.
HyperPay's own pages are light on detail about methods. They name mada, including pre-authorisation, cards issued by banks across the region, PayPal and mobile payments. A community Flutter plug-in for HyperPay's SDK defines Visa, Mastercard, mada, STC Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay as payment brands, so merchants should confirm which are enabled on their account. Tokenisation, recurring payments, pre-authorisation and checkout without a redirect are supported. There is no public price list; pricing varies by country and comes from the business development team.
HyperPay fits merchants in Saudi Arabia and the Levant that want local acquiring in several Arab markets from one gateway, including hotels and rental firms that rely on mada pre-authorisation. Its public documentation is thin, so expect the integration specifics and the final method list to come from the onboarding team.

What HyperPay costs
HyperPay quotes per merchant. What you are offered depends on your volume, your industry, the countries you sell in, your card mix and your risk profile — so a published headline rate would not be your rate. Ask them for a quote against your own numbers.
Pricing, in detail
No public pricing; HyperPay says fees vary by country and are quoted on request.
What the last check found
HyperPay's site names few methods; Visa, Mastercard, STC Pay and Apple Pay are recorded from a community Flutter wrapper of its SDK (third-party), and Google Pay and Samsung Pay from the same list are left out pending confirmation. American Express, Tabby and Tamara appear only in a third-party plug-in vendor's marketing and are not recorded. The homepage says nine countries but names eight; Egypt appears in the FAQ and on the about page, giving nine. founded_year is from 'processing online payments since 2014'; the legal founding date was not found. A search snippet gave the licensed entity as 'HyperPay Inc. Saudi Arabia for Information Systems Technology'; this was not confirmed on a fetched page. Some reports call the SAMA approval a National Payment Gateway certification rather than a licence. No licence number found; SAMA's register page could not be fetched.
