Yapily is a London open banking infrastructure company, incorporated in June 2017 and founded by Stefano Vaccino, a former Goldman Sachs banker. It does not process cards. Instead it gives businesses one API that reaches around 2,000 banks, through which they can start account-to-account payments and, with the customer's consent, read account and transaction data. The regulated activity sits in two subsidiaries: Yapily Connect Ltd, authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (reference 827001), and Yapily Connect UAB, licensed by the Bank of Lithuania to serve the EU.
On the payments side Yapily offers single pay-by-bank payments, bulk payments and variable recurring payments. Euro payments between SEPA countries go over SEPA, or SEPA Instant where the payer's bank supports it, while UK domestic payments run on Faster Payments. VRP is currently UK-only, and its sweeping coverage table names just a handful of banks. The data products cover account information, transaction categorisation and account checks for onboarding. In 2022 Yapily agreed to buy the German open banking provider finAPI from the credit bureau SCHUFA, which added German bank connections and customers.
The website names 17 countries: the UK, Ireland, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden and the three Baltic states. Its headline figure is 19, so a couple of markets are not named. Pricing is tailored to each customer and no figures are published.
Yapily mainly suits platforms, fintechs and software firms that want to build their own pay-by-bank checkout or data features, rather than a small shop after a ready-made checkout. Most customers integrate through the API. A hosted payment page exists, but it is in private beta and handles single payments only. Features differ from bank to bank, so check the institution list for your market before committing.

What Yapily costs
Yapily quotes per merchant. What you are offered depends on your volume, your industry, the countries you sell in, your card mix and your risk profile — so a published headline rate would not be your rate. Ask them for a quote against your own numbers.
- Settlement
- Depends on the payer's bank: Faster Payments in the UK; SEPA Instant (about 10 seconds) or standard SEPA in Europe
Pricing, in detail

What the last check found
Yapily's homepage claims 19 countries but names only 17; only the named ones are recorded (Austria and others may be covered via finAPI but were not confirmed). Bank of Lithuania reference LB002045 is as printed on Yapily's own pages; the Bank of Lithuania licence list (blocked to us) was reported in search snippets as showing a payment institution licence dated 1 April 2021, register no. 54, without that code, so a reviewer should check it. Licence categories (AISP/PISP) are not spelled out on Yapily's page. VRP and hosted pages are UK-only / private beta respectively. Completion of the finAPI acquisition was not separately confirmed; the description says only that Yapily agreed to buy it.
From the last check against Yapily’s own documentation. Coverage changes; confirm anything you are about to build on.
