D24 is the current name of Directa24, a cross-border payments company that lets businesses based abroad collect money from customers in emerging markets and pay funds back out to them. It says it was established in 2009. Some third-party sources link its origins to AstroPay, the Uruguayan payments firm founded that year, but D24 does not mention the connection itself. Its Shopify app is published from a Montevideo address, a related partnership, Directa24 LLP, is registered in London, and the website names neither an owner nor any payment licence.
Merchants integrate once and, according to its API documentation, reach local methods in 18 countries across the Americas and 18 in Africa. In Brazil that means cards including Elo and Hipercard, Pix, bank transfers and PicPay; boleto has been withdrawn. Mexico adds SPEI, CoDi, OXXO, PayNet and cash at chains such as 7-Eleven and Walmart. Colombia has PSE, Nequi, Bre-B and Efecty; Peru has Yape, Plin, PagoEfectivo and Tupay; Chile has Webpay, MACH and bank transfers; Argentina has CVU transfers and Mercado Pago. D24 claims more than 300 methods in all.
Payouts carry equal weight. Bank payouts are advertised as arriving in under two hours, seven days a week, Brazilian users can withdraw to Pix keys, and the API also handles refunds and payments to sub-merchants of platforms. Withdrawal validations also cover Asian markets such as India, Indonesia and Vietnam. Pricing is not published.
D24 suits international businesses selling into Latin America without local entities, especially platforms whose users expect fast withdrawals, such as reward, monetisation and trading services. Merchants should ask which entity they will contract with and how funds are licensed in each market, because the site warns that third parties may provide part of the service depending on the country and local rules.

What D24 costs
D24 quotes per merchant. What you are offered depends on your volume, your industry, the countries you sell in, your card mix and your risk profile — so a published headline rate would not be your rate. Ask them for a quote against your own numbers.
- Settlement
- Bank payouts advertised in under two hours, 7 days a week; settlement terms agreed per merchant
Pricing, in detail
Not published; pricing agreed per merchant. The Shopify app itself is free to install.
What the last check found
Named D24, the brand Directa24 now trades as (directa24.com redirects to d24.com); slug kept. Not a duplicate of astropay: D24 is a separate merchant-facing processor, and the AstroPay link rests on a third-party vendor page (Rebilly) and is not confirmed by D24. Country list: the API docs list 18 countries in the Americas and 18 in Africa for deposits (36 in total), while the website claims about 30; Africa pages were not opened individually, so methods there are not recorded. Asian countries (Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Thailand, Turkey, Vietnam) appear only in payout validations and are not recorded. HQ is unclear: Montevideo (Shopify developer address) vs London (Directa24 LLP, LEI OC425353; The Paypers calls D24 UK-based), so hq_country is null. Founded 2009 is D24's own claim and may reflect the wider group's origin. No licence or regulator is named on the site; regulation left empty. Industries limited to ecommerce: the site mentions monetisation, prize rewards, remittances and brokers but names no sectors. Long-tail methods without taxonomy keys (Nubank, iCash, SUAPI, MODO, TPAGA, Dimonex, Edeq, FullCarga, Coopenessa, Su Suerte, Banbif) were left out rather than proposed. Currencies are inferred from the main Latin American markets.
