2Checkout is an online payments and subscription billing platform aimed at companies that sell software, SaaS and other digital products across borders. Verifone, the terminal maker, bought it in September 2020. Verifone still lists 2Checkout as a separate product with its own website and developer portal, although parts of the documentation now call it "2Checkout (now Verifone)". Verifone's in-store and acquiring business has its own listing.
Merchants pick one of three account types. 2Sell covers one-off online sales, 2Subscribe adds recurring billing, and under 2Monetize 2Checkout acts as a reseller of the merchant's products and every online payment method is available. Checkout options include the hosted ConvertPlus cart, an inline checkout, payment links, the 2Pay.js library and a REST API, plus connectors for WooCommerce, Magento 2, PrestaShop, OpenCart, WHMCS and Shopify.
The method list is long. Cards include Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express, Discover, JCB and UnionPay, plus local cards such as Dankort, Cartes Bancaires, Bancontact, Elo, Hipercard and RuPay, with instalments in Brazil and Turkey. Wallets cover PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Alipay, WeChat Pay, MobilePay, Vipps, Skrill and Neteller. On the bank side there are iDEAL, Trustly, SEPA and UK direct debit, ACH, wire transfer, Boleto and Pix. The currency table lists 96 billing currencies, and many methods are limited to one country or currency.
Payouts go out weekly on 2Sell and 2Subscribe and monthly on 2Monetize, in US dollars, sterling or euros, by wire, PayPal or a Payoneer prepaid card. A rolling 90-day reserve, sized to the merchant's risk profile, is held back from sales. The platform suits software and digital-goods companies that want localised checkout and billing without separate contracts in each market, provided slower payouts and a reserve are acceptable.

What 2Checkout costs
2Checkout quotes per merchant. What you are offered depends on your volume, your industry, the countries you sell in, your card mix and your risk profile — so a published headline rate would not be your rate. Ask them for a quote against your own numbers.
- Settlement
- Weekly payouts (2Sell, 2Subscribe) or monthly (2Monetize); rolling 90-day reserve
Pricing, in detail
Pricing pages on 2checkout.com could not be read (rendered empty). Docs: sign-up is free, each merchant's fees are in their contract; wire payouts cost 15 USD/GBP/EUR on 2Sell and 2Subscribe.
What the last check found
Not skipped: 2Checkout still runs as its own product, domain, sign-up and docs inside Verifone (Verifone's own menu links to it separately), so it is a distinct offer from the Verifone terminals/acquiring listing; the docs partly say '2Checkout (now Verifone)'. Name kept as '2Checkout', the label Verifone uses. Founding year, HQ and the Avangate merger could not be sourced (2checkout.com rendered empty; no Wikipedia article), so they are null or left out. Regulation empty: no licensed entity or reference was found. Countries are those where the docs list a local method (Dankort/MobilePay DK, Bancontact BE, Postepay IT, CB FR, Elo/Hipercard/Boleto/Pix BR, Turkish instalment cards TR, RuPay/Netbanking IN, Alipay/WeChat Pay CN/HK/TW, Vipps NO, iDEAL NL, Finnish banks FI, QR transfer CZ, SEPA DD DE/AT/ES, UK direct debit GB, ACH US); merchant onboarding countries are not published. KakaoPay appears only in the docs index, not the methods table. Currencies are those named in the methods table plus payout currencies; the full 96-currency table is not expanded. 'bacs' is used for 'Direct Debit UK'. Card methods marked for all currencies differ by account type (2Monetize gets every online method).
